About Us
improving the standard of living of the in deprived Urban Slums of Jinja town
Hands of Empowerment with a Vision is a Community Based Organization which was started in 2009 by a small group of 15 youths (girls and boys) in Ntege Village, Walukuba East Parish, Walukuba Masese Division, Jinja municipality, Jinja District, Uganda. It was started after seeing the number of youth’s lacked employment, increased levels of drugs abuse, crime rate, and domestic violence among other challenges. This is when a small group of youths came up with a view of forming a group so as to come up with solutions to youth’s problems.

Our Objectives
- To improve on the economic status of the community through sustainable entrepreneurial skills.
- To start up a community saving and credit scheme.
- To fight against HIV amongst the youth and elderly.
- To promote and conserve the environment in a sustainable manner.
What We Do
Activities at hands of empowerment
The activities of the organization shall be;
1.Capacity building through entrepreneurial and business management skills to youths.
2.Forming a credit and savings scheme that will offer financial services to the community.
3.Sensitizing the youth about HIV/AIDS through Music, Dance and Drama, Counseling and Guidance.
4.Sensitizing the community about environmental conservation as well as engaging the youth in environment conservation activities.
